Good morning, afternoon, and/or evening Sol Warriors!!
Happy Thursday!!
Today's topic is about "Damaging Relationships".
When we think of damaging relationships we tend to think of someone breaking our heart or hurting us. Actually, you can damage any relationship, it doesn't have to be a romantic relationship, but a friendship, work-related relationship, et cetera.
"Toxic relationships are dangerous to your health; they will literally kill you. Stress shortens your lifespan. Even a broken heart can kill you." ―Bryant McGill
How do you know when your relationship is starting to turn?
You will start to notice the other party starts doing things that they never did before. They will become more possessive and trying to seem like they are out to get you. Once, they start saying that they did xyz for you and this and that as if you haven't done anything for them that is when it starts becoming damaging or toxic.
If your work relationship is going left I suggest talking to your HR manager. If that doesn't work remember that there is always someone above them as well.
You too can be the damaging person as well. If you notice that you are doing those things, I suggest that you talk about the things that have upset you. It takes two to tango and communication is a big part of any relationship.
So just take a moment and reflect on your relationships and make sure that you are speaking out on the things that do not sit right with you or that you have an issue with you. Also, remember the chain of command and do not let your emotions get the best of you.
